Recent complex surgery for throat cancer resulting in tracheostomy in place. Grafton can manage the care for this himself. He has no larynx and cannot talk. He communicates via a white board and pen and a communication picture board.

He is exhausted when undertaking any date to day activities.

Please provide daily support (30 mins DH) with showering and assistance to dress. Grafton has a wheelchair in his cell as he is not able to walk the distance to the shower room.

If Grafton is too tired could carers please offer a wash on his bed and support to change clothes. He does have an adjustable hospital bed.
